Purpose of this position

Provide high quality IT support for  Group applications by way of IT applications maintenance and change management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide the Company with effective and efficient support and change management services for all applications relating to Enterprise Resource Planning, such as SAP, HR, Finance, supply chain and factory applications

  • Manage team resources to understand cross-functional business processes and data flows as well as their aligned IT applications as manage and lead direct reports and external consultants.

  • Manage and supervise the effective operation of application support team to ensure a reliable mechanism is in place for monitoring support service level and effective use of knowledge management

  • Control the team budget ensuring that external contractors provide value for money services and internal expenses are within budget.

  • Motivate and develop team resources technical and managerial skills.

  • Develop staff with succession plans to ensure the Company is not exposed due to lack of and applications support expertise

  • Talent Develop and coach direct reports to ensure talented individuals feel motivated and are able to progress.

  • Maintain strong relationship with service and equipment suppliers, particularly with GSDKL who is Company Group’s main IT support service provider.

  • Maintain a close working relationship with IT department and across functions and business.

  • Maintain strong working relation with internal and external customers to ensure a right level of service is maintained.

  • Drive and co-ordinate the operational engagement and work processes with Strategic Business Systems and Delivery.

  • Embrace new ways of working, making optimal use of centralised resources, such as GSDKL as well as ensure performance of suppliers against contracts (Supplier SLA).

  • Deliver process analysis and evaluate opportunities to improve customer satisfaction


  • University Degree and knowledge of IT

  • A minimum of 5 years business experience working in a medium to large organisation.

  • Must to have SAP experiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skill.

  • Excellent analytic capability and problem solving skills.

  • Advanced written and communication skills in English. (Call conference with GSDKL in Malaysia everyday!!)

  • Good understanding of the whole range of IT disciplines and technologies.

  • The ability to communicate highly detailed and technical knowledge and instructions to IT staff & managers, as well as communicate in business terminology with end users of IT applications.
